Who we are
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of braziliantapetanning.com (the "Site") and to tanning services booked with Brazilian Tape Tanning ("we," "us," "our"), a tanning studio in Chicago, Illinois. By using the Site or booking a session, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our services.
Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tanning session. We may ask for a valid photo ID.
- You must complete our client intake and consent form before your first session, and update it if your health, medications or skin treatments change.
- We may decline or stop a session at any time if we believe it may not be safe for you.
Health, safety & UV exposure
Our sessions use UVA tanning equipment. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation can cause sunburn, premature skin aging, eye injury and an increased risk of skin cancer, and some medications, cosmetics and medical conditions can increase sensitivity to UV light.
- You agree to tell us truthfully about your skin type, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent procedures, tattoos and skin treatments. Please review the list of contraindications before booking.
- Protective eyewear must be worn during every session.
- Follow the session time and aftercare guidance we give you. Do not tan elsewhere on the same day.
- Our team is not providing medical advice. If you have any health concerns, consult your doctor before tanning.
By choosing to tan, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you have provided accurate information.
Bookings, cancellations & no-shows
- Appointments are confirmed once you receive confirmation from us.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may receive a shortened session or need to reschedule.
- To cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a fee / the session.
- We may need to reschedule due to equipment issues, illness or emergencies. If we cancel, you can rebook or receive a refund for that session.
Prices, packages & promotions
- Prices are listed on our Services page and may change at any time. The price at the time of booking applies.
- Packages are for the person who purchased them, are non-transferable, and must be used within 90 days of purchase.
- Sessions are non-refundable once completed. Unused package sessions may be refunded or credited at our discretion, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Promotional codes (such as GLOW20) are for new clients only, may be used once per person, cannot be combined with other offers, have no cash value, and may end at any time.
Results
Results vary with skin type, number of sessions and aftercare. We don't guarantee a particular color, depth or duration of tan, or the shape of your tan lines.
Photos
We only take or share photos of you, including for our Gallery or social media, with your written permission. You can withdraw permission at any time by contacting us, and we will remove those photos from our Site and accounts going forward.
Studio conduct
We aim to provide a safe, respectful space. We may refuse service to anyone who is abusive, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who doesn't follow staff safety instructions.
Using this website
- Use the Site lawfully. Do not attempt to access the admin area, interfere with the Site, or submit false information or spam.
- All content on the Site, including text, logos and images, belongs to Brazilian Tape Tanning or is used with permission, and may not be copied without our permission.
- We try to keep information accurate and up to date, but the Site is provided "as is" and may contain errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brazilian Tape Tanning is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for injuries resulting from inaccurate information you provide, failure to follow our instructions or aftercare guidance, or tanning against the listed contraindications. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Illinois law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Site or our services after an update means you accept the new Terms.
